Kaoru sees himself as bad and as having a difficult and complicated
nature, which makes him the perfect leader for the group. He is also the oldest
person in the group. He is the main composer for most of their songs, and an
excellent one at that; because every Diru song is different, so he must have an
amazing imagination to come up with so many different musical variations.
Once, when he was younger, Kaoru got bored with his black hair, and
slowly started to lighten it to brown. When his parents noticed it, he said that the
chemicals in the swimming pool were responsible for the change... which is
ironic, since he can't swim.
Despite his stoic and deliberate ways, Kaoru is also a sweet person. He
loves to join in on Die's jokes and tease Shinya, and is also a huge fan of Gundam
and other animes. He, too, has a kid inside him who is always eager to have
some fun... but only after the work is done for the day.
During concerts, unlike the energetic Die, Kaoru likes to linger in his
place, headbanging to the music or pumping the crowd up with random gestures.
